Payment and Terms
One to One Sessions
One to one sessions are priced at £40 per 50 minute session.
Prior to each session commencing, students are asked to fill in Google sheet with the topic/task they would like to work on in the upcoming session.
Students must do this 24 hours prior to the session commencing to allow time for the session to be prepared, failure to do so will mean that time will be taken within the session to organise and prepare learning resources.
Students and parents are free to discuss topics for sessions with the tutor outside of scheduled session times.
Group Sessions
Group sessions are priced at £18 per student per 50 minute session.
The first group session undertaken by a student will be free of charge.
Payment
Tuition sessions are paid monthly and in advance. However, payment is not requested prior to the first session.
An initial invoice is sent after the first session, and monthly thereafter.
Payment is required within two weeks of invoicing.
A 10% late payment charge applies if this is not met.
Cancellation/ Non-Attendance Policy
Once your slot has been agreed with the tutor, sessions will be visible within the calendar section of the portal. There will be a link to a 'Pencil Spaces' online classroom. Students will need to click this link to join the session. A free account is required to access Pencil Spaces.
Please ensure you are aware of when sessions are taking place. Generally, sessions will run throughout school holidays unless otherwise agreed beforehand.
Notice for non-attendance of a session must be given at least 24 hours prior to the session commencing, this can be done either via email or text message/WhatsApp.
In the case of non-attendance where no notice is given, the tutor will contact the student/parent after 5 minutes of the session start time. If the student does not arrive to the online classroom within 20 minutes of the session start time, the session will be cancelled and billed at full price.
If 24 hours notice is given, a make-up credit will be allocated and the session can be rescheduled for another date. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to contact the tutor to arrange this.
If there are sessions within the next calendar month that will be missed (for example, because of a family holiday or not wanting tuition sessions in school holidays), please inform the tutor prior to paying the invoice for the upcoming month. The invoice will be amended to reflect the amount of sessions taking place.
Absences where 24 hours notice is not given will be billable at the full cost of the session.
